Our Story

Ken Norris started Norris Contracting in 1986 with a dream, a few pieces of equipment, and a willingness to get the job done. A decade later, the need for an aggregate processing division arose, so Con Agg, Inc. was born. Norris Contracting and Con Agg own and operate four gravel, sand, and limestone pits in Chippewa and Mackinac Counties, supplying the EUP with all of its sand, gravel, and topsoil needs.

Ken’s son-in-law, Nick Huyck, joined the team as a laborer in 2007. With prior military experience and a background in trades, Nick brought leadership skills and work experience to the organization. Over two decades later, Nick is now Norris Contracting’s president and primary owner.

Norris Contracting employs many workers from Chippewa and Mackinac counties. We pride ourselves on being a family-oriented place to work and are proud to have some of the best employees around. Norris specializes in everything from parking lot construction, underground utility, installation, asphalt paving, site work, aggregate sales, and much more!
